rock’n’roll
today i had time for a longer ride and hike (that means metween 5 and 7 hours) i started with a car ride of 20min. took the gondola from 500 up to 1750masl, rode and hiked up to 2000masl, then a little downhill and all the way up to the “Falknis” 2570masl. from there it was a real difficult downhill and i was glad i had the brake mounted. i had to cross a rock face, the trail was real narrow and there were the chains to hold on, i rode a bit of it, started walking then, suddenly something hit my right hand, and i knew: a rockfall!
i didn’t hurt very much and was rushing out of the area because there were more rocks coming down…then i saw my glove: full of blood! when i was out of the dangerous area, i had to usefor the first time my first aid kit: i had to make a tourniquet with an other small stone, trying to stop the hemorrage. i was still on 2400masl and there was a 2000vertical meters of downhill in front of me and all singletrail of course… ![]()
anyway i mounted the brake lever extension for the left hand and sterted riding with my left hand holding on the handle, which was quiet a challenge for me! i decided wo take also the “Mittlerspitz” with me when i was already up there. further down it wnet always better with my left hand on the handle and i could ride almost all parts…
after 5 hours i was right at the doctors place where i got one stitch, that was all… ![]()
i caught a ride which brought me back to my car…and i was at home right in time, when noah came back from school… ![]()
