Ride in memorial park a few months ago

Today was grey and pretty cold, but there was very little traffic which made the ride much more enjoyable. I think it’s a record how few dismounts were required to give way to cars.

The octubus also wanted ride a 36" inch Unicycle. It was a great 20 Km Tour with the 36 inch Uni and best weather. Greetings form the south of Germany.

Love the pink colour!

Well thank you!
I wish udc would let me pick the colour of unicycles though.

And now I have gone and bought a fully pink unicycle. Though this is also partially @UniMyra’s fault as he is a terrible influence on me (in the best possible way).

Theoretically this is for my daughter who is currently in a real “girly girl” phase and hence loves pink. However, I have this feeling I might end up riding it more than her.

Seeing it in the pic, I really like the pink too!

Little mishap doing 20K ride, only got to 14K before I was riding one foot.

Oh my. Is that a break in the crank? And where did your pedal’s axel run off to?

Gutting! Won’t take long to fit a new pedal and get back on!! Keep on riding..

Taking a break from trucking to ride in the Salt Flats in Utah and later in Tahoe Park in California.

A charity ride event fundraising for family services in New South Wales Australia, about 2 hours north of Sydney. Lots of positive comments from other riders. The second half of the ride was very windy though and made it very difficult. @BruceC suggested to do the ride and he is also in the pic.

Nice one! It was pretty windy on the weekend, I’m not surprised it was unpleasant.

That’s an amusing confluence of charity, sponsor and location :upside_down_face:

There was one fellow on a bike who called out to me something like “you stole that wheel from the sheila behind us and left her with only one.” A nice variation on the standard quote. All nice bike riders that day, even the pelotons who fly past leaving about a 5cm gap. Not so smart to be that close to a unicycle in a 25+ kph wind.

Saw a couple of tandems too… that would have been easier!! One of them came and rode beside me for a chat for a bit, then at the turnaround point for that section, they were there. This was after that barking dog! Apparently it nipped a couple of ankles. Thankfully not mine!

Yuka was passed by a large man on a bike, she asked him to ride in front so she could keep out of the wind for a while. Very clever my missus. Here’s photo of me looking like an Indonesian Wayang (shadow puppet)

N and I were doing it for a bit too on a very windy bit. Firstly he was in front, then me. But he said I had to let him know if I plan to dismount so he doesn’t run over me!!!
