Funny…I thought you knew, sorry. We had plenty to talk about, and now we have some shop talk to look forward to next time…CA Muni fest!?

I uploaded some more.

if any of you wants an original picture (of you riding) in those albums just send me an email: I will send you the high resolution version.

a few moab pics

I need to find a place to show all my pictures, but here are a few of mine from Moab. Mostly my kids, but some nice scenery there too…

We saw the billboard on I-70 in Colorado, on our way to MMF.

I’ve got a few photos from the fest at the end of this flickr set. The rest are from our tour of Utah during the week leading upto Moab.

Thanks to all who made the event possible. I think it can and definitely should continue to happen in the future, with or without an organizational lead.

Wow, that billboard is awesome! Thanks for sharing. I wonder who put it up? The tourism of Moab?! Rolf?!

My shots (got it down to 274, from 700+): http://flickr.com/gp/tholub/Z1i592

Those of you who are on flickr, please add your shots to the Moab MUniFest group: http://www.flickr.com/groups/moabmunifest/

I mostly attached names only to the Berkeley folks; if you see yourself, or someone you recognize, let me know and I’ll update the caption.

here are a few:

hey john any progress on those pics from the basketball game?

Posted!

That’s 477 photos and 2 video clips, all in one giant album! Sorry about the unwieldy size, but done is beautiful. You get the Moab Disc Golf course, Landscape Arch and Temple Square in SLC as bonuses! Plus lots of shots of trees, rocks and textures to keep it interesting…

Hey unicyclerman, which one is you, and what’s your real name? Are you the guy wearing that high-end helmet from Burger King?

Some of my best pics…

Haven’t had the time to post all my pics but here are some of my favorites…

#1 Are those unicycles on top of that Moab bus?

#2 I think I have more pictures of John Foss taking pictures then riding!

#3 Beau sinking one in a game of disc golf on Friday!

#4 “The MUni Bus” heading up to the Porcupine Rim Trail.

#5 Spot the rider coming down the Porcupine Rim Trail with the snow covered Mts. in the background.

#6 Tom, Chris & Nathan riding in a group down the Porcupine Rim Trail.

#7 Mike riding the Main Slickrock Loop with 30-50mph winds!

That’s Mark from Phoenix, not Chris. Chris freakin’ flaked. (Nice shot, though!)

Hey,

Great shots! Anyone take any good photos of a rider(s) riding up a steep hill? I just wrote an article on riding uphill for UNI magazine and I’m looking for example photos.

Thanks,

Kris

Good in what sense? I photographically like the shot I posed above of Kevin climbing in front of the green hils, but it’s not that detailed in terms of his technique.

You are correct…sorry about that…I knew that especially since I rode with Mark all day on Saturday.

The article is a techniques article for riding uphill, so it would be great to have something that was a fairly close shot showing someone powering up a hill in a strong way. Since it’s a magazine it would be ideal to have something that looked good aesthetically. I know that’s not very specific but I wasn’t looking for a specific technique as much as a nice shot that generally illustrated a reasonably steep climb. I’ve got lots of downhill shots but it’s hard to find good uphill shots.

Thanks for any help.

Cheers,

Kris

Here are some, not from this year. Most of them haven’t been photo-edited, but with some brightness/saturation adjustments they should be good shots:

(photo by Bill Hatcher, would need to get permission)

The problem is, the good climbers are always off the front, so all my pictures are of people with weaker technique.

Thanks Tom. That last one is really good; can you ask Bill about it?
