pedal grabs

Hi all, I have successfully been able to get to the point were I can do a pedal
grab pretty consistently, but I am having a hard time doing anything once I get
there. Once I am sitting on the object I can only hop off, but I can’t get onto
the top. What do I do from there (the ledge of the object)? I have read the
article from muniac.com but I still can’t get
it.

Re: pedal grabs

Jeff,

One thing that hasn’t been mentioned much in the articles I’ve read, is that
you actually have to JUMP with the leg that is resting on the ledge. The
unicycle’s momentum alone will not carry you. For the longest time I couldn’t
get them at all because I was still standing on my left leg! Seems pretty
obvious in hindsight, but…

Joe, Look through the video clips at www.muniac.com There is one with
Scott Bridgeman on a picnic table and he actually pedal grabs twice. Let
me know what works for you; I’ve been trying for off and on (mostly off)
for months with no success.
