Here is a mixed lot of new and used pedal bumpers. I have been going thru my spare parts and these need to be used, not sitting around. I will pay for shipping to any of the Lower 48 States in the USA. Asking $70 total for all. For Payment I take Venmo or Paypal
Unfortunately the pedal bumper was a great invention that disappeared!
Great set of colours, although I’m not a potential buyer as I’m in the UK. I didn’t know these existed until I picked up a unicycle from that era (rescued from a scrap yard!) that had them.
I see that a couple of pairs of your bumpers have parts of their circular bungs cut away at the back - was that how they were made, or is that a way to get used bumpers off without wrecking them? I was hoping to move my bumpers to a different pair of pedals, but that seems to be impossible.
Nice cycle! I trimmed some of the nubs to install and remove them easier and without destroying them.
Thanks - at this stage all I know about the uni is that it was a bespoke build by person unknown, rescued and sold on by a non-unicyclist in Cornwall who hoped it might make him a bit of money on ebay (I suspect he was disappointed!).
I’ll try retroactively chopping at the bits of the pedal protector nubs that I can reach, but since the previous owner didn’t employ your cunning technique before installing them, I suspect I might be onto a loser. Your post has nudged me to continue with the restoration project soon - it’s been sitting for months in pieces pending a respray in yellow!
I’ll buy them from you. I have one pair and have been looking for more for a while now, so I will be happy to take them off your hands. I can pay with PayPal.
Sold! Pm’ing you now.
I’ll buy a set of the lime green protectors from you, if you’ll sell a set, to put on my Koxx Green Spirit Trials uni with white TryAll/K1 pedals.
I can spare one pair. I’m going to hold on to the rest of them because I currently have three unicycles and a fourth that will be built soon and I hope to have two more before the end of next year. Since it’s quite conceivable that my collection could grow to a total of 9 or 10 unicycles, I may be needing to put all the others to use.
Just PM me your address and soon after the Labor Day holiday I will send you a set of the lime green protectors for free.
I somehow missed the post from @HardcoreCokerRider saying that he had a pair of bumpers that he would send to me for free. So when he messaged me and I asked him how much he would like to sell the bumpers, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that he wanted to send a pair for free.
Thank you, Andy!
A photo showing the installed bumpers is below. Now, I just need to put some work into scuffing them up, a bit. ![]()
can’t they be 3D-printed? Great invention. I’d like to have some, but don’t wanna pay 70$. They look like 1 EUR a piece, 2.50€ per pair.
My pleasure. They look great! ![]()
I don’t think you can 3D print rubber, but they could probably be molded at a relatively modest cost. $70 was the price for the seller’s remaining inventory of a product that is no longer being made. Low cost could likely only be achieved with high levels of production, but even at the price they would cost with low quantity manufacturing, I believe they would still be worthwhile. I would pay at least $10/pair if they were available and probably up to $20/pair. They last a very long time and provide quite a valuable benefit to your unicycle, so the way I see it, even at $20/pair they would be well worth it.
