Paul Blart Mall Cop

I am incapable of not taking a movie at least a little seriously. So, I must say the family dynamic in this movie, namely the father-daughter relationship, is a little off. Not in a creepy way, but the kid does have to be the adult a bit too much.

That said, this movie did not suck and was, in fact, in some ways quite entertaining. Die Hard fans will note some obvious references and homages as well as a nod generally to the action thriller genre in general.

But what really amused me is that Waddy Wachtel, studio guitarist and band mate of such notables as Linda Ronstadt and James Taylor, did the score. Go Waddy.

I can not in good faith actually recommend this movie, but if you do go see it, you will have a few chuckles and won’t be filled with self-loathing afterward.

I heard it was pretty well done and didn’t rely on flatulence jokes and bathroom humor, which is rare these days. For something many notches higher in quality and depth, I would also highly recommend “Frost Nixon”.

I thought it was a decent movie, pretty much what you said, but it was a PG(13? I forgot) movie and was designed to be a family comedy so it couldn’t be to complex.

I’d give it around 8 out of 10 at most.

I gave it a 6 out of 10, I couldn’t get into him being so pathetic, it seemed so fake and the part where he had no cellphone, I mean c’mon.

The margarita scene was quality though
