Online video?

Is there any online video somewhere that will show technique for mounting?

Or other beginner problems?

If you can understand this, I don’t recall ever actually seeing someone
LIVE ride a unicycle yet!!! (Only dead people! ) I may have seen a
circus scene on TV but I can’t remember anything in particular.

My interest in Unicycling stems purely from seeing the Atlantic Monthly
article on George Peck. Then seeing sites on the net.

Lots of stills… NO ACTION!

I live a sheltered life! hehe

Anyone got a list of things they’d like demonstrating?

I’ve got a camera which does little movie things and can do quite a few of
the basic skills, ie. free-mount, ride forwards, ride backwards, leaning
turn, action/reaction turn, idle, one foot idle, ride down kerb, hop up
kerb, coker roll-back mount, possibly coker normal mount

I could also take it along to luni’s unicycle hockey where I’m sure some
show-off would be able to demonstrate wheel-walk, riding one footed,
gliding, possibly one foot / stand up ww.

Joe

That’d be cool.

I think that if someone had a simple web page with a few clips it would be
quite helpful.

All the online unicycling videos I know about are listed at: http://www.unicyclist.com/links/Multimedia/Video/

There aren’t any mounting things there, or any how-to clips for skills.

If you have digital video clips that you’ve taken, you can easily make a gallery at http://www.unicyclist.com/gallery and post them up for all to see.

There is no substitute for the real thing. Were you they guy that you
mentioned the other day that you live in Saline, Michigan? Plenty of
unicyclists there, if you have the time/transport to go out and meet them.
The Redford club gets together regularly for basketball or regular stuff.
Check their Web site: www.rtuc.org

Hopefully someone has a better handle on what videos are online. I just
got a new digital camera that can do AVI video clips, and that’s the type
of thing it should be good for. Another project to add to the list…

There are some clips on the Calgary Mountain Unipsychos web site at
http://www.enel.ucalgary.ca/~davis/Videos/Videos.html. Not
instructional, but you can see some hopping up and down stairs, one foot
riding, idling, etc.
