Norht Shore Trip

For the folks intending on heading up to the North Shore after UNICON - does
anyone know about accommodation? Something along the lines of very cheap
would be my first thought  Can any people from Vancouver recommend
anywhere that’d be reasonably priced and preferably somewhere near the NS? A
youth hostel or campsite or whatever. Any ideas much appreciated!

Cheers,
Neil

If you’re going to Canada you only need Monopoly money anyway.

Remember though, you’re going to need $3.50 in Monopoly money for every Canadian ‘dollar’ you want to spend

That’s going to be alot of monopoly games sitting around at home with no money in them, and nobody likes playing monopoly without money, right?

Re: Norht Shore Trip

The #1 best place to stay would be the Vancouver Youth Hostel at Jericho Beach. This is a
beautiful spot, inexpensive, and literally 30 seconds ride away from some of the best log trials
available anywhere. It may be booked up, though.

I found one page with contact info here:

Cheers,

Kris.

Re: Norht Shore Trip

At least 5 of us from California are staying at the Jericho Beach hostel.
The link Kris gave doesn’t work for me now, but try this one:

How to dial an ambulance. Wit is my middle name!

Neil

Re: Norht Shore Trip

Thanks for that Kris. I’ll investigate some. A beach and good riding sounds
perfect

Neil

Re: Re: Norht Shore Trip

Thanks very much for the link Nathan. It worked a treat.

Cheers,
Neil

When is the North Shore trip happening?

Joe

I don’t know when Nathan and crew are heading up but the majority of the UK folks have booked in to the Jericho Beach hostel for the 3rd, 4th and 5th. We’ve to be out of the Sahalie lodge we’re staying in for UNICON on the 3rd so we’ll be driving up then.

The Jericho hostel looks and sounds really good so if you’re looking to come and want somewhere to stay I’d get clicking to the link in Nathan’s previous post and book a bed quick smart. The more the merrier

Cheers,
Neil

Re: Norht Shore Trip

We are driving up to Vancouver from Unicon the morning of Saturday August 3.
We should be able to ride Saturday afternoon, all day Sunday, then we are
leaving Monday morning Aug 5 to fly home. You guys who haven’t ridden the
North Shore yet are in for a major treat!

Sounds like we are in sync time-wise. See you there.
