Norco Trials Unicycle

I just got my new Norco Trials Unicycle today… It is sweet. I love the
fat, FAT, tire (20 x 2.5). Too bad it came with lasco cranks, but awesome
ride for what you pay… $199 can. It also comes with a sweet rim (alex
DX32) Thanx Kris for suggesting it! Cant wait to bust some massive tricks
and drops. Hopefully it doesn’t break for a while.

Hey Kris… the uni came without the “Norco” stamp on the front, is
this because it came straight from the factory before going to Norco?
I dunno…

If anybody’s looking for a relatively cheap entry-level trials uni, check
this one out! )—(x) Dylan Wallinger Keep Riding

Could you post some photos? I really want to see what the frame looks like
when viewed from the front.

Where can i get more information about the uni? (tire, frame, saddle…) On the norco website, there is only a photo.
How much does it cost? Where can I order it?

Hey, I have some pictures of it up Here
Tire: Luna Bike Trial 20 x 2.5 inch. (Like a monty) Rim: Alex DX32 36
spoke. Saddle: viscount. Pedals: welgo. Cranks: Lasco. It costs about $199
CAN. Go to your local Norco Dealer and ask them to order it for you. Hope
this helps. )—(x) Dylan Wallinger Keep Riding

Pics aren’t showing up for me.

The link he made didn’t seem to work, but the pics are definately there.
Go to his web site and click on “Gallery”, then “New Norco Pics”

URL with pic

If you reassemble the complete URL (put everything between the quotes into one line) it will work. But Caleb’s suggestion is an easier solution.
This is not the first time I find URLs spread over > 1 line. Maybe Gilby can educate us how to prevent URLs from being broken up like that? What is the best way to enter them in a forum message? (Sorry - this is not supposed to become a new thread within the Norco trials uni thread).

Fred

sorry about the faulty link… I’m not posting through unicyclist.com, it
worked fine for me…

The link posted was sent with it wrapped on two lines (split up by the
senders email client when sent), so the forum software (along with
most email software) only picked up the first line of the URL and made
it a link.

Currently the forum software also breaks up the links in posts on it as
well when trying to wrap the messages to send out to the newsgroup. During
my winter break (just a couple days away), I’ll probably rewrite the
newsgroup <-> forum script in php to work better for what is needed for
unicyclist.com. Currently, I am using a perl script written by someone
else. In the rewrite, I am going to make it where URLs will not be broken
(on outgoing posts, incomgin posts will be harder). If you have any
features you want in it, let me know.

The best way to prevent URLs from breaking are to put them on their own
line and have them be short (if you have any control over the length).

It can also be helpful to enclose them in angle brackets; some software
behaves more intelligently when you do that. (And it’s a recommendation in
some RFC somewhere). -Tom

Hi,

For comparison, why not call John Drummond at Unicycle.com and ask him what the differences are between the United Monty trials uni he sells and the Norco. Easiest difference is the seats. Norco has Viscount (seems like) and the United has the Miyata.

Budget limits me to purchase either one now. I will have to experience them vicariously.

Keep it up.
