Nimbus2 or impact sylph

I am a newbie to unicycling with a cheap uni and am ready to buy my second one. I am considering the Nimbus 2 or Impact Sylph. I will be doing street riding and maybe a little jumping and going downstairs. I think the Sylph can ride smoothly and is stronger for jumps, but is it worth the extra cost? Which one is good for me?

By “street riding”, do you mean riding around on the street, or the discipline (doing tricks in skatepark and such)? If the latter, I’d 100% recommend the sylph out of those two.
If you mean mostly riding around on the street, it’s a pretty open question, where I’d even throw in the decision of going with a 24" or 20".

Your question makes me feel that you probably need more time to make an informed decision.
Selection between Nimbus II and Impact Sylph (out of stock in US by the way) is odd.

Nimbus II is a quality beginner / intermediate unicycle in 3 different sizes — 20", 24", 26". What size do you consider? It is not a performance unicycle and not a sport equipment either. It is probably not going to offer you much advantage over your “cheap uni” (given the same wheel size).

Impact Sylph is a niche performance unicycle with great components, but limited application. I see it mostly as a flatland uni. Even in flatland not for every athlete. It has a true 20" rim (ISO406) and optimized frame geometry that limits tire selection. If you are considering buying a Sylph, you really know what you are doing.

One of our former club regulars did purchase Sylph as literally his 2nd uni, and he regretted the decision developing his unique style of riding (he liked more affordable Athmos and K-1).

Please share more details about your current uni, your current riding style and your vision for your short and mid term development to get more replies from the community.
