Nimbus Raw 42mm Steel Frame Bracket Set

Hi there

Sorry, I don’t know if this is the right place for this question.

Does anybody know what kind of steel these brackets are made of? Some Kind of CrMo steel? Stainless steel?

I can not find this information. I want to do a frame on my own. So if I want to weld and / or braze I should choose more or less the right material for my frame.

Doing the brackets on my own with suitable material is way to costly. And to get them as light as the ones from Nimbus, is quite a challenge …

Hope anybody can help. Or tell me what material I should choose best for my frame to combine with the Nimbus brackets.

If you are interested, I will post my project here in the community…

The 2nd review of the caps was by Corbin. You could PM him and see what he thinks.

Thanks jona

I asked and wait now

or you could just ask us…

They are mild steel; not CrMO.
