New norco uni

Ok, just flickin’ through the latest issue of Mountain Bike UK, and in the ‘quick releases’ section with a review of stuff from the Sea Otter Classic, there is a little piece about a Norco Uni. I don’t think this is the same one which norco have been selling recently. I’m guessing its a new one (Did i hear Kris saying he was working on getting a proper trials uni in production?)
Also, it appears to have an unusual saddle on it that i don’t recognise. It could be some really smart miyata air conversion, but i don’t think so, cos the rear bumper looks a bit different, and the front isn’t shown. Could this be the new one which Kris has been working with someone on? Man, i hope so.
Could be an Alex DX32 20" rim on it, but again, not sure. Same on the cranks, looks like they could be splined. The frame looks great, with a square crown with very flat top, and yet looks really narrow for saving knees. Looks incredible in a really tough way, especially with the seemingly box section fork legs.

Am i just getting excited about nothing? it could have been around for ages, in which case Ando is just bein’ thick. Still excited thou. I’ll put a pic up as soon as i can. Tried phoning the contact number 'bout it, but just got an answer phone

Any way, Anyone know anything about this one?

no.

But if you do find more out about it, put it up. please, thanks

Can you post a picture?

Re: New norco uni

The unicycle pictured is actually Chris’s old model and from what Norco are
saying to me will not look like that so it will not give much of a guide.
The unicycle is not quite ready for shipping but it will not be long “within
a month” we should have details. That should mean that we should have a
model in our hands for July is my guess. Can’t wait it will be great to see
it when it does come.

While we are on this subject. The final prototype of the Onza trails
unicycle arrives with me today! It should be complete other that the colour
and the seat (that is missing all together at the moment). If this is ok
then we should see this on sale in May! This should be comparable with the
Norco with a Splined hub, 2.5" tyre etc. I will try and put a page up later
today showing details - what I have seen of the crank set is that is well up
to the job. They are using their well tested BMX splined BB as a base
fitting 145mm cranks on for the 20" unicycle.

Its fine thanx mate, i’m amazed at how quick it is healing. Thanx again for patching me up.

Just seen the pic while browsing in Sainsburys, looks nice but in the write up they call it a “one wheel bike”, I didn’t buy the mag.

RE: New norco uni

They also called the Monty / Onza clone tyre “dirt specific”. Tut tut. The
mag is called MBUK though so I guess we can let them off
