Which is exactly why this law is needed - for imports. I didn’t think there were any domestic products that still used lead other than BB gun pellets and things like that.
Then again, maybe this is not all bad news. I am too scared by traffic to want to ride on the road, and a little worried by the law about to riding on the pavement. However if unis of 24 and less are reclassified as toys, any attempt to book me for “riding a vehicle” on the pavement might be countered by a claim that I was just playing with a toy.
As long as someone else gets to test case it first in court of course. In the meantime I will continue to smile sweetly at the policeman. Works every time.

Depends on how much dirt there is.
But the point is that dirt from the street often contains viruses, bacteries, etc, so kids might still end up in the hospital if they rub their eyes against the frame.
Edit: even if it’s lead-free.
You’re only 17, and just beginning to be able to notice your impact (let alone everyone else’s). Try to imagine living another 70 years.
Are you one of those people who points out one cold day and asks about this “global warming” thing? Do you really think the price of oil is going to trend downward for any length of time? Gimme a break. The reason you’re not seeing any more commercials about alternative fuel is the same reason you aren’t seeing all those other politically-motivated commercials that dominated the airwaves up to early November. The election’s over.
Jerk reaction maybe. He’s not even the President yet. Are we blaming him for existing laws and bills?
It’s not as bad as I thought:

Has this been mentioned on that BMX forum yet? If not, someone ought to post it.
Something in the VintageBMX thread mentioned that. The problem being that the determination of exemptions happens after the regulations go into effect. So a manufacturer needs to prepare for the worst case while hoping for an exemption or determination that may or may not happen.
so is cyanide, what was your point?
Has anything happened about this? Have there been any affects on the industry?
KRIS HOLM 36" - KH36 $930.00
Heck yes.! they were around 800 a few months ago
not the uni that i know of. But they have had the same thing happen to motocross bikes. For bikes that are ment to be sold to kids 12 and under can not be sold. BECAUSE OF LEAD PAINT on the parts. When im at the race track i never see a kid chewing on his bike.
If I remember correctly this law ony applied to bikes 20" and below. Maybe that was just a price raise?
poop… oh well.
