NAUCC Lodging

We’re staying at the Econo Lodge right in Rapid City. It looked like a pretty ok deal with the AAA discount and no smoking rooms, then I read the fine print:

* Free deluxe continental breakfast
* Free wireless high-speed Internet access in all guest rooms
* Free parking

And the clincher:

* Visitors can relax in our indoor heated pool, hot tub and have some fun on our 180 foot indoor water slide.

thanks a lot mr. nathan. that sounds awesome.

And expensive…

Maybe split 3 or 4 ways though. Still $150-$210.

Time to donate plasma!

So I say us street kids should settle on something. I think it might help to start a list so we can share rooms and stuff. It seems a lot of us have not figured out where we are staying yet. I know I could use others to help split the cost of a room.
Maybe after a few names get added here we will be able to set up into groups to share rooms. Witch will also help us find a place we can call ours.

So I guess this place is giving deals to unicyclists. They have 5 person cabins. Opinions? Can anyone tell me how far this is from all the action?
I think I like the idea of a hotel better, but I can handle any workable situation. I just will need to hitch a ride with some one when there is driving.

Just a reminder that if anybody wants to compete in the Street Comp or any artistic events at NAUCC 2008, they must either be registered or let me know that they will be competing in those events - BEFORE June 11

Scott & I are going to be camping at the Tee Pee Campground. It sounds basic and cheap, which is fine with us this year.

2200 Fort Hayes Dr
Rapid City SD 57702
(just off Hwy 16)
6 miles & about 12 minutes from YMCA

605-343-6319

$14/night for tent camp site (2 people)
$2/night for each extra person
Plus some amount of tourist tax

I compared the campgrounds that I found in my AAA book and on a couple of web sites. Six are less than 10 miles from the YMCA, and this was the cheapest.

I think this is a good idea…

When are you guys getting into Rapid City? The only flight I can afford arrives on the 4th and I’ve got no where to stay.

I think all of us manly men are just going to have to cuddle up and sleep under the stars.

What happens in NAUCC, stays in NAUCC. And gets posted all over the forums

I think I’m staying here http://www.lakeparkcampground.com/info.htm ether that or under a bridge.

Hey, Phil.

For 4 or 5 people to stay here, its a little above $100 a night. Split that between a few people and its around $20-25ish a night. So if everyone could get $200 that would cover the whole stay there.

I think.

Hey,

So Brian O and I may be looking for a last minute third roomy for a nice hotel room for all of NAUCC.
