MUni Weekend T-shirt question

I just got another one, from my boss!

no brakes. no gears. no handlebars. no problem.

I think it’s a winner. What do you think?

How about this one? <g>

no brakes. no gears. no handlebars. no teeth.

RE: MUni Weekend T-shirt question

Hugh,

“no teeth” (see below) was actually the original idea that I had in my head.
From the classic

Look Ma, no hands! Look Ma, no feet! Look Ma, no teeth!

But it doesn’t exactly communicate the idea I wanted. “no brains” does, in the
fact that it’s a joke, but it still suggests we’re stupid for doing it. “no
problem” says, “we don’t need that stuff”.

Of course we could also say “no speed”.

Yes! Non-attendees can “be there in spirit” by ordering one now (I already have
7 orders). Quantities will be very limited, because it’s a small event. Probably
0nly 60 or 72 will be made. The order will be placed tomorrow, at which time
I’ll have to decide how many, so if interested, place your orders.

Your order is guaranteed (while supplies last) upon receipt of your check.
Please send to: John Foss, 629 Flower Drive, Folsom, CA 95630

The price for shirts to be shipped will be $20, to cover shipping by Priority
Mail. International orders may be more. Allow a few weeks after the event for me
to get organized.

Sizes: Large or Extra Large. Sorry if you aren’t one of those…

Rick, what size did you want?

The California Mountain Unicycle Weekend is only two weekends away! Make your
plans if you’d like to come. Read all about it at:

I’m copying the newsgroup on this, so everyone else who asked knows what it’s
all about.

The shirt will be dirt colored. So when you ride on the trails it won’t take too
much of a hit. The color name is sand, and it’s light brown.

On the front you will see a picture of George Peck riding down what looks like a
cliff, in dark green ink. This is the picture:
http://www.calweb.com/~unifoss/muni/PECKDOWN.JPG

On the bottom half of the image will be gold lettering saying “California
Mountain Unicycle Weekend” etc. etc.

On the back of the shirt, scarlet lettering will say “no brakes. no gears. no
handlebars. no problem.”

I will try to post the art on my web site, but I don’t have an exact way of
depicting how it will look…

Shirts are $20 in the U.S., $25 overseas, including shipping. Supplies are
limited. First come, first served! Orders are confirmed by receipt of your
check. Sizes: L, XL, maybe a few mediums.
