The name of our group is sort of an inside joke. I direct an organization called the Northern California Writing Project, which is a professional development group for teachers of writing. My riding buddy, who is also a member of the Writing Project, thought that calling ourselves the Northern California Riding Project would be fun. I liked the look of a Marin mountain bike tour group’s logo, which provided the inspiration for using a mountain and unicycle in it.
We’ll probably wear these at any organized events we attend–the Lemurian race in a couple weeks, the Weaverville 12 hour in May, and so on.
