Mountain Unicycles everywhere

It’s very exciting to see all of these new mountain unicycles becoming
available. I would be very interested in people’s comparisons of the Pashley
Muni, the DM DMATU, Telford Engineering’s Mountain Unicycle, and Roger Davies’
Carbon Fibre Uni.

It seems that we now have Uni’s ranging in price from $250US to $325US to $500US
to the bit more that the Carbon Fibre Uni costs. Each of these unis would seem
to be a big advance over my 24" Miyata, but I am having trouble determining what
is worth what.

What do you riders think?

Yeh, yeh, cool man, I’m luvin Uni life. In regards to the Pashley Muni, I have
nothing but praise for it. Of course I had to modify the seat post (cut and
reweld), to accomodate a Viscount seat. The same can be easily done to use the
seat of your choice. Though I havn’t put it to a torcher test and probably
won’t, I know it will stand up to abuse. It’s very well built. At this point
it’s my favorite ride. Unfortunatly, I have no experience with the DM or
Telford, but can hardly wait to get my hands on one. As I have mentioned before
the Telford looks radically different but very interesting. Does anyone know how
much this thing is going for?

well I’m biased but…

great isn’t it, loads of toys to choose from.

The technology is definately getting there, we really do need to address the
problem with the hubs though. This would be better done globally, if we can
decide on a design for an unbreakable hub that fits all makes of unicycle and
gets ride of 5/8" morse taper hubs fantastic.
