I remember reading something about building a motorized unicycle in Wiley’s

You need an electromagnetic braking/clutching mechanism. Frank Malick was an
engineer, and he built this himself. I don’t know if there is something newer
these days, that could substitute for it. You rode the thing holding a hand
control, and moving your thumb back and forth to control the speed of the wheel.
If anyone out there plans on building one, build two please, I’ll buy it!
