more useless info

If you yelled for 8 years, 7 months and 6 days you would have
produced enough sound energy to heat one cup of coffee .
(Hardly seems worth it.)

If you farted consistently for 6 years and 9 months, enough gas is produced to create the energy of an atomic bomb.
(Now that’s more like it!)

The human heart creates enough pressure when it pumps out to the body to squirt blood 30 feet.
(O.M.G.!)

A pig’s orgasm lasts 30 minutes.

(In my next life, I want to be a pig.)

A cockroach will live nine days without its head before it starves to death. (Creepy.)
(I’m still not over the pig.)

Banging your head against a wall uses 150 calories an hour.

(Do not try this at home. Maybe at work.)

The male praying mantis cannot copulate while its head is attached to its body. The female initiates sex by ripping the male’s head off.
(“Honey, I’m home. What the…?!”)

The flea can jump 350 times its body length. It’s like a human jumping the length of a football field.
(30 minutes… lucky pig. can you imagine??)

The catfish has over 27,000 taste buds.

(What could be so tasty on the bottom of a pond?)

Some lions mate over 50 times a day.

(I still want to be a pig in my next life…quality over quantity)

Butterflies taste with their feet.

(Something I always wanted to know.)

The strongest muscle in the body is the tongue.

(Hmmmmmm…)

Right-handed people live, on average, nine years longer

than left-handed people.
(If you’re ambidextrous, do you split the difference?)

Elephants are the only animals that cannot jump.

(OK, so that would be a good thing…)

A cat’s urine glows under a black light.

(I wonder who was paid to figure that out?)

An ostrich’s eye is bigger than its brain.

(I know some people like that.)

Starfish have no brains.

(I know some people like that too.)

Polar bears are left-handed.

(If they switch, they’ll live a lot longer.)

Humans and dolphins are the only species that have sex for pleasure.

(What about that pig??)

If you rode a MTB with Spickydoo for 5 years…you still wouldn’t have taught him a damn thing!

And if you did, there would be no pics to prove it!

So… who’s Roger?

Later,
Eli.

Yeah, not that question specifically, but more along the lines of “where the heck are you getting these past sigs?”

curiously strong mints,
John M

Roger Waters. Pink Floyd.

Do a Google search on Sofa’s sig and hit “I’m Feeling Lucky”.

Re: more useless info

The combined weight of the eyes of an verage adult ostrich is 60 grams while its brain weighs about 40 grams.
So the ostritc sees better than it thinks :stuck_out_tongue:

I keep memorizing that kind of things by accident

Morten

I made this signature shortly after watching ‘The Wall’ for the millionth time (a must have DVD even if you thought you weren’t a PF fan!) , and seeing Spickydoo’s PF reference;

being temporary absent minded at the time, I can’t recall where that quote came from, but somewhere on the internet :o (my favourite part of the movie is when he’s remembering his dad, and dressing up in his uniform)

Mostly they come from TV

Re: more useless info

Geez, who has time to spend 33 minutes having sex ?!?

Re: more useless info

Whats up with that?

Re: more useless info

Aargh, woe is me! I am undone!

<thud>

Re: more useless info

I’ve heard about that. My theory is that us lefties absorb ink into our bloodstream by smearing it on the side of our hands every time we write. My other theory is that it’s because of spinal injury, because we spend our entiire academic career twisted halfway around, trying to write on those STUPID right handers only desks. Same with the scissors.

Re: Re: more useless info

AMEN BROTHER SOUTH PAW!

Re: more useless info

That’s not a complete statement. Bonobo chimps from Africa ALSO have sex for pleasure (belly to belly too, I might add).

Re: more useless info

I got curious about this. It’s a popular piece of trivia included in a lot of trivia lists and usenet sigs. I found a discussion thread at thepigsite.com that gives a little more info about this pig orgasm thing, but it doesn’t definitively say that an orgasm can last 30 minutes. Here is the thread

Here is a message from that thread that was the most informative

Bonobos, like humans, also RAPE.
Goddamn, stupid primates.

Re: Re: more useless info

You LEFT out chainsaws. Never forget the chainsaws. Good call on the desks… I now blame the slight twist in my spine caused by years of use of those dang desks for my inability to ride one footed on my uni.
