1 7 footer giraffe
1 freestyle uni
1 24"

total until now:23 riders : $22.135

The total is growing…

About 40 unicycles over 25 years, at up to $1000 for one or two of them. I’ll estimate $6000. That’s probably accurate without adjusting from 1980 dollars to the present…

total until now:24 riders : $26.135

I believe the total would now be $28,135

1 24 inch Torker CX- $75
1 20 inch Torker DX- $160 on sale
4 innrtubes at about $5 a piece- $20

Thats $255

25 riders $28,390

Sun 20’’ $60
Platform Pedals $12

In the next 5 months

Coker $290
Freestyle $210

$572

26 riders $28,962

Oh yeah, thanks. That must have something to do with how I talked myself into spending all that…

Friends at work sometimes ask, “You paid how much for an unicycle?!” Like Tommy, my wife would have issues with what I’ve actually spent, but then again, I’ve got friends who are into horses and boats, and Muniing is dirt cheap compared to that.

I would hate to know exactly how much I’ve spent over the past 25++ years on this hobby. Does it include going to competitions/conventions? My T-shirt collection? My figurine collection? Spare parts?

I own over 50 unicycles (at last count). I’ve got some cheap unis (under $100) and some expensive ones (38" TUF big wheel, Coker, 12’/16’ giraffe). I’d guess an average of $200/unicycle, so at least $10000 on just unicycles. If you add in the rest of the stuff, you could multiply it by Tommy’s ‘many’ factor (I’ve spent one, two, many dollars on this crazy/great unicycling hobby).

Hey, before you guys start saying 1400$ is a lot of money, just think about some other hobbies. Just one good mountain bike can run you 1400$. If you’re a PC enthusiast, 1400$ is like… your new monitor

I’ve spent way more on computer bits than uni bits. The gas you can save from buying a Coker will make up for the price of it! For how much I ride (now rode as I’ve just ordered a new one, and the girlfriend has the old one!) my 129$ norco, it was above and beyond worth it.

And as for myself?

20" norco - 129$
5’ Torker TX - 200$
20" freestyle, hand picked parts - 400$

Total: 729$

34.5 Riders
$47,158.03 (is my math right? :D)
