Marathon at UX

Andy,

Do you remember if the steep gliding hill shown at the bottom of the webpage at

    <a href="http://www.kanji.org/jack/unicycle/uniconx/muni.htm">http://www.kanji.org/jack/unicycle/uniconx/muni.htm</a>

is part of the marathon course, ad if there are any steep hills along the
course? I think it would be helpful to know for those who are planning to change
their crankarms, as I am.

Be advised that if you change to something shorter than 125mm you will be in the
“unlimited” race.

If courses have already been planned, it would be nice to know something about
the MUni event(s). Is there a race? How far? What kind of elevation changes are
involved? It’s too late for most of us to react to such information, but I would
still like to know what is planned.

Actually, I am changing to 125mm, and plan to be in the unlimited.

I believe that Andy wrote about that a long time ago. The course will be the
same that they used for Mountain Bikes at the PanAsiatic game. It is in a hill
rather close to the UNICON area. We were there in winter, but it seemed that it
would be a beautiful area during summer.

I really have never seen a MUNI, And it mught look different in summer, but if I
had to guess it would be of about medium difficulty. It is a hill, not a
mountain, but it had some sections that looked tough.

The marathon probably will be in a road around that hill. That area also has
some offices of the Sports Department.

Albero and Andy, it is still not clear to me if the marathon course, not the
MUni course, includes steep hills, esp. the gliding hill shown on my website. Do
you remember?

Not really. I believe (certainly I am not sure) that the hill was at the
beginning of the road, and the marathon would be further in, so it would not
include the hill.
