My name is Charles Kimberly, and this is my first post to the NG. I wanted to ask some questions about lodging for the upcoming conventions. Every juggling convention that I’ve been to has some sort of free lodging options available for visitors. I was informed that, unfortunately, the same wasn’t true for uni conventions.
So, I was wondering:
If there’s anyone who wouldn’t mind having me stay in his/her backyard or junkyard (I really don’t care, just anywhere!). I would take a tent with me. Now that I think of it, it might be nice if I could also enjoy the benefit of using your shower. What could I give you in return? Well, money always works, but I’m trying to keep this at a min, but I could pay you for the service if you with. I was born and raised in Venezuela, so I could also help you out with your Spanish homework (if you are in college and taking a Spanish class, or if you have kids taking Spanish). I could also teach you how to dance the most excellent Merengue! If this isn’t enough, I could offer you a bit of cultural insight as to the way in which us savage Venezuelans live our lives (fun stuff). Or if
There’s anyone who is in the same situation as I am, and wouldn’t mind splitting room the cost of a room and perhaps of a car rental (if we need one… which it looks like we might), or if
There’s anyone who’s got any other ideas on what options are available (other than the one’s listed on the unicycling.org page)
All right, hope that tons of ppl. come by this post… and thanks in advance for any invitations/information that are/is posted…
In the extremely unlikely event that I make it to NUC (chances are high
I’ll be out of the country) I’ll share expenses with ya
To the newsgroup, Charles is probably the geographically closest serious
unicyclist to me, so we’ve met on a few occasions. He’s a good guy, so
give him some floor space in your apartment for a few nights
