I took today off from work with the intention of enjoying a day to myself while my wife toiled at the bookstore and my daughter was in school.

HAH!

Emma had a bad sore throat and needed to go to the doctor. So I took her, filled her prescriptions and helped her with a gingerbread house. Not the day I had planned, but after we saw to her comfort, not a bad day in the final analysis.

Dinner was pizza, chinese food, and a huge chocolate chip cookie thing followed by beer.

And, of course, lots o’ love.
