Launch ramps...

but getting that kick and remaining balanced in the air is hard. i do it about 1 in 5 times when warming up to it … then about 1 in 3 times after that

Yeah, and I would imagine that the higher the ramp, the harder it gets. That’s why for me, I think a lower height, like about 4", is best. Plus, like doing stair jumps, I can use the “edge” of the launch point to compress and kick off from. No such “edge” on flat. :o

i strongly suggest NOT launching from the edge. unless the ramp has a very large top on it. I could see that ending very badly.
it is hard to use the ramp effectively to begin with, much less adding that factor to it.

the ramps I was jumping on/off were approximately 6 feet long and 2 feet high
