I speak english and dam near fluent Irish i speak a little french but i dont care enough to be commited to it
I should learn more languages
I currently speak English, French and Dutch (fluently). My German is not too bad, and I understand some ‘tourist’ Spanish and Italian.
Since I’m planning to travel there, I should learn a few words of Turkmen.
I speak fluently Swissgerman and German and I’m quit fluent in French and English since I have to use it everyday. I’m learning Latin at school but I actually hate it … We moved to Ethiopia one year ago so I started with Amharic. I can read and write (other alphabet) and I can have decent conversation. Amharic is really fun to learn and the people here respect you more, when they realise that your not just a tourist.
haha, my first post
I speak Jive! And pig latin haha!
I’d love to hear Welsh spoken with an American accent.
Although if you say the Y like OO, it’s more like a Yorkshire accent.
How many languages
I think the easiest way to keep / improve any language after basic skills is to read the language, vocabulary grows rapidly and grammar becomes intuitive.
Having said that I would recommend Bendiceme Ultima by Rudolfo Anaya to the spanish readers. I also like the various historical novels by Isabel Allende.
Update: learning Swedish right now.
I want to learn spanish really bad and am starting this year. I get to go to argentina for a month or two starting january
Surely you want to learn Spanish really good?
I mean, really well?
I know a little German…
