Leg holders as an independent project would be built from the stubby/short axis body of folding pedals. In former times I experimented with low rider platform pedals using folding pedals and metal brackets looking like the part below the axis of Terryâs pedals. I still have these aluminium folding pedals. But is that cheating like riding an EUC instead of a uni? Or is that the holy grail because UWs are so much handier and will replace the short distance 36"? I count that negative too because of forgetting to mount the conventional 36er over the years.
Thanks for clarification, I have seen the stickers somewhere before. Just joking a bit about my spoke walk UW which has no pedals yet.
To mount/unmount screws I use my right hand: the thumb shows the desired in/out movement of the screw and the curled fingers show the direction the screw should be turned to. Now for right pedals I use my right hand and for left pedals I use my left hand. The saddle/frame/lights show front/rear of the uni. No need for stickers at any time.
The question I am pondering is to use 6061 aluminium or st37 steel for the pedal threads?
I was wondering if youâd be willing to sell these stickers in bulk. I want to label everythingâŚI keep getting lost. Ever get in your car, and realize thereâs no steering wheel because youâre on the wrong side? This happens almost every time I drive. I also often forget which hand to write with, which shoe goes on which foot, and of course, which way to mount my unicycle.
These stickers are my only hope. If only I hadnât thrown away my own L and R stickers.
I would 3D print a stamp. The only problem is on which side was the power button of my PC?
And dont forget sticking them on the top of ur hands as well and on ur legs so you know which is the dominant leg
I donât know, yâall⌠I might need a bit of help here
I think this might be the left side of the unicycleâŚ
Now I understand wheelouâs plan. They tricked me in the âpost a picture of your unicycleâ thread to remove my L and R stickers. When I went to switch cranks today I accidentally put them on the wrong side and got confused when my pedals wouldnât screw in. This is where they swoop in and try to sell me a new set of stickers. The cycle will probably continue the next time I post a unicycle picture.
Clearly you stuck them on the right side of the uni.
Maybe this is a more durable solution for the âleftâ side. If only there was a ârightâ option too. I expect this must be why the idea never took off; itâs all just too confusing.
Life is tough!
Pure conspiracy theories on your part :wasntme:
Hi There, I maintain lots of unis in my town.
On every unicycle I touch I put red insulating tape on the left crank and green insulating tape on the right crank. Thatâs the same colours as aircraft navigation lights, (google says so :).
This means that anyone can see from a distance the pedals arenât back to front.
Only 2 weeks ago a new rider turned up with a wheel where the pedal threads in the cranks had been pulled out as the pedal unwound itself over time because the right pedal was on the left side.
Coloured tape works!
Mike/Australia.
Might be a good idea to cover that R sticker on the frame with green tape, too. So its clear which crank belongs to which side. As it is, the no-disk wheel could accidentally be installed the wrong way.
BTW, people with multiple unis can even mount differently coloured pedalsâŚ
Yeah and on April Foolâs day you can switch around red and green.
Also, being a member of the @NoPeelClub, Iâd say it is disrespectful to put any colour tape on top of the L R stickers.
As a founding member of the @PeelClub Iâd say putting coloured tape on the L R stickers is one of the best ways to deal with them - if for some hard to imagine reason peeling isnât an option.
EDIT: Found a possible reason: youâve loaned a uni from a NoPeel person and are out of stickers. So you canât just peel them off to replace them later on, when you return the uni.
yeah I think we should show Peel-peeps that peeling is a waste of time and we will just cover the peel-unis that come in for maintenance in L/R stickers. It will just be an extra service we deliver without them having to pay extra.
Iâll make sure you and your gang will keep your hands off my unis!
At next Unicon we shall covertly cover your unicycle in L/R stickers and fit it with 75-89mm cranks when you are not looking
