Koxx one self extracting inserts

For the Koxx-one street cranks, how do the self extracting inserts screw in? I can’t seem to get them screwed in past half way… Pictures would help also.

Also, which direction do they screw in?

They screw in backwards so that they tighten as the crank bolt loosens.

I had a hard time getting them in there too. It took needle nose pliers and some patience. If you stick the ends of the pliers into the holes in the inserts, you should be able to turn them.

I used 2 4d or 6d nails held in needle nose pliers. Didn’t mark anything up.
