I’ve been learning to grind on my KH trials, but I sometimes hit the bearing cap instead of the crank when I try and crank grind. It’s scratching the cap, and it’s not that bad yet, but it seems like it could be a serious problem since the cap is aluminum.
Is this something to be concerned about? If so, is there somewhere I can buy a steel bearing cap that would fit (42mm, I think)?
I thought about making the lower cap aluminum but chose not to because they are already so much stronger than the standard bolt-on style bearing caps on the cheaper unicycles, and I didn’t want to add unnecessary weight.
They’re not yet but these should be available as replacement parts from Unicycle.com in the next few months.
Kris, i’m a little drunk, BUT! Your are still a sexy man, and we all love your pink shirts, I’m buying one of your beautifull frames for a 26" unicycle i’m making, and i’m buying your complete, KH Trials Uni, i’m reallly looking forward to it, Keep up the good work. And thank you for been a trend setter.
Hey Kris, I thank you from the bottom of my particulars for your sweet seats. And also your hubs and cranks. They’re so strong that they provide me with hours and hours of bodily injury and fun!
