It's all gotta go-- spare parts, etc.

Well, since I gave up unicycling last summer I’ve done a lot of fun
things. I rode a trials bike for a while, played around with computers,
built a funfly type R/C plane, joined a choir, took some voice lessons,
did some musical comedy on stage, got a concealed weapons permit, took
up motorcyles, and bought a Pug.

And now it’s almost time to move-- yep leaving the town of Moscow on
for bigger and better (we hope) things. But job hunting hasn’t been all
that productive yet. We have started packing, though, and I’ve got some
relics from my unicycling months that I’d like to get rid of. Anybody
need a stock Coker axle (okay, you’ve got to be pretty hard up to want
one of those). How about a used set of Black widow cranks? (Might even
have pedals on them) How about a bruised and battered Profile crankset?
How about some 2.6" cotterless cranks (look kinda ugly with a big weld
through the middle, but where else can you get 2.6" cranks!) I’ve got
Roach gear too, which I haven’t decided yet whether to ditch or not, but
if you need them more than I do they can probably be had. Okay, a trip
to the shed also revealed a somewhat dented 26" HED. rim, 26x3 Gazz
(fairly well used), some Avenir riding gloves, some modified Triple 8
wrist guards, and lots of bicycle tools. Cone wrenches, anybody?
And last, but not least, a jointjigger.com tubing notcher for your
custom framers out there.

So if you need some used stuff for cheap, let me know what you want and
we’ll work a deal.

Keep the shiny side up,

Chris

ps. I’ve also got my trials bike selling on Ebay, if anybody’s
thinking of trialsin’ with a training wheel.

I interested in the used black widows, and/or the profiles… which I
desperately need!

Sorry, that should say “I am interested”
I was just so excited when I saw used profiles!

I’m sorry, I missed something. When did you quit unicycling and why? I’m just at a point in my life where I’m trying to substitute something for basketball and I think unicycling is it.

Wait…so Chris Reeder as in the creator of the Reeder handle is giving up unicycling??? This is news… I echo Harper–why? Will your unique handle still be for sale and will you keep your valuable and helpful website up? Let us know.

If you could compose a nice list of items, I’m sure all of us would be interested in having a “piece.”
I could use some armour, and some extra cranks.

It’s amazing how many new faces (email addresses) have shown up in a
year. Let me clarify-- I’ve already been gone from unicycling a year,
and haven’t touched my website in almost that long. I go through
sports/hobbies like water. When one cup runs out for me, I get another
one. Some people have bottomless cups of water, and they can sip or
guzzle the same sport for a lifetime. But when I take one up I go at it
hard, and finally burn a hole in the bottom of my cup. I get bored,
lose interest, feel like I’ve accomplished almost everything I wanted
to, and the new skills don’t come so fast anymore. At that point I’m
primed to take on something new, but I never know what will be next. So
then when something fresh, new, and exciting comes along I can get
hooked overnight. My wife can attest to all this, since getting hooked
invariably means BUYING something, or a lot of somethings.

Well, unless it’s a Profile :-0

When somebody makes a disc brake MUni with ISIS cranks, sweet modular
saddle, and a 22x4.0 tire, swing by my house, okay?

I’m interested in at least some of the tools, including possibly the jig. Please contact me at davstock06351 at yahoo dot com.
