I hope you have more luck than I do; I tried but failed. I’ve spent most of the afternoon learning how to jump down stuff on my muni at speed; blummin’ marvellous fun, but immensely scary the first time you’re approaching the drop at high speed!
After all that, I came home, and just outside my front door I fell off proper-style. I didn’t land on the phone;I landed on the camera. Luckily it was easy to repair; all I’ve got left over is one pesky “do not remove this sticker” sticker…
the extra grip on a trials tyre helps for traction but makes turning more dificult
and the smoother surface on a primo wall makes turning easier but gives less traction.
one foot wheel walking and glideing is easier on a primo wall than an onza
trials tyre.
you can do it on both. howeve i learned on a trials tyre and then when i got my freestyle uni i found that i was better at wheeklwalking than i thought.
so perhaps the freestyle tyre is better.
I think the reason you see more people wheel walking on smooth tyres is because the people with smooth tyres are more likely to do any wheel walking. A lot of people with smooth tyres do freestyle, and people with knobby tyres may not do as much wheel walking.
