I got my Qu-ax! Now I have a question.

How do you turn on this thing.

First of all, did you plug it in?

Or did you get the battery powered version?

wha-wha-wha-what??

ha ha ha! no , I ment turning, you know like go to the side.

the same way as on any other unicycle, once you are riding just decide you want to turn and let yourself go there, that should do it for slow turns.

my advice chuckleing at joke there would be to lean a bit, and push harder on the pedal that’s opposite the direction that you want to turn.

I know I tried but its feels really wierd. However, I only tried once ,so, I’ll have to try again tomorrow.

I’ll have to try that. Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks … I’m Hyper!

what…:stuck_out_tongue:  how are u hyper u just copied and pasted

i wish mine came today but ups forgot it in the city but it should be the same

Do not, I repeat, do not ride the new uni. I believe that you probably got one of the defective models. You should probably send the unicycle to me. It could be very hazardous for you to continue riding it. I will make sure that it is destroyed so that no one else has to be put in such a dangerous position.

no: send to me. I’m actually licensed to deal with hazardous materials. i’ll show you my permit if you want…

Twist your hips to turn. Turn your upper body the direction you want to go, then twist your hips to turn the unicycle in line.

You have a new unicycle and you tried to turn (even if only once) on
your very first ride? That’s pushing it man! You should run it in at
least ten days before attempting to turn.

Yes, today I learned to turn with ease. I just filled it up with A little bit more air. and I took it for a ride today with my freind and managed to jump down two stairs.

ps.(what is the recomended tire pressure for it anyway?)

I believe tyre pressure is measured round here in squishiness of the tyre between your thumb and forefinger. And since that is a very subjective judgment, it is impossible to find out what the recommended tyre pressure is for any tyre.

Cathy

dang homie youve been registered for almost a year now. what have u been doin- comin on here and pretendin to be a unicyclist? or has it taken a yr to master turning?

HA, no, It jus feels ril difrent ya know whata mean? anyway.
I learned now so it don’t matta

I don’t know the actual reccomended psi but I usually keep the tire just hard enough that when I jump really hard I’m still not bottoming out on the rim.

The bottomed out rim is usually a good, if risky yardstick. You want (for trials at least) a level of ‘squashyness’ that allows decent maneuverability & control, stability on narrow objects, and shock absorbtion. I recently lowered mine slightly and my seat-in hops are much higher now due to the pre-hop potential increasing. If you’ve changed over from a learner freestyle-type uni to a qu-ax then you’ll lose some maneuverability due to the increased footprint, but you can compensate with hops, or lean-turns. You only really get a feel for how versatile a 20" trials is when you get on one after riding a 26x3" muni, or a coker, for any length of time. Those things have oil tanker-esque turning circles.

If you are ever bottoming out the rim then pump it up asap, or stop riding in that way. Bottoming out the rim will damage it very quickly, and its not just a new rim, its a total rebuild of the wheel to get it back in shape again.

IMHO you’ll want the tyre harder than Victory mentioned, as a hop will not bottom out the rim in the same way as say riding down stairs or dropping more than 2ft would do.
