How to Eat a Peach

It’s that time of year. Sad, but peaches don’t grow in Hawaii. I got a dozen peaches from Costco. They are perfect! There’s is only a two week window that we get each year. Outside of that time period peaches seem dry and tasteless. I’m picky when it comes to eating a peach.
First, I like it fuzzy enough to tickle my nose. Then it has to have a sweet aroma. When you gently bite into it, piercing the skin, the juice dibbles down your chin as you try to lick it back up.

Eat and suck all over the seed and get every lil’ bit.

ummm! yummy

I thinking of making this. But I’ll make my own pie shells.
CRUMBLED PEACH PIE
*FILLING:
4 c. sliced peaches
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. plain flour
2 tbsp. lemon juice
Combine all ingredients. Mix gently. Pour into two unbaked 9-inch pie shells.
TOPPING:
1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. plain flour
1/2 c. sugar
Cream butter, sugar and flour until crumbly. Spread over pie filling. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes, then at 350 degrees for 30 minutes more. Serve warm.

Or move to the country.

Apples and oranges are better.

Nah, peaches are delicious.

I don’t really have anything else to contribute to this thread.

I think you are just a tad bit creepy.

This is how I like to enjoy a peach. d:)b

I eat my peach similarly, and it’s a sensuous experience. If it’s not, I think you’re doing it wrong. Peaces are delicious!

Put peach in hand, open mouth slightly, smash peach into mouth, be a slob.

Its the best and only way.

you’re dirty :stuck_out_tongue:

hahaha sounds good.

I prefer to venture inside my peach and run away from my two mean aunts while partaking in wild adventures with my good friends Mr. Centipede, Miss Spider, and Mrs. Ladybug.

…What about Mr. Grasshopper, the Earthworm, and the Glowworm!? Aren’t they your good friends too?

And I guess the lesser known Silkworm…but I rather like the movie’s omission…

well, they’re friends, but they aren’t my favorite. Except for Mr. Grasshopper, I liked him the most. I wonder why I left him out…

I have four peaches left in the frig fruit drawer. I eating about one a day. No pies though.
I have had it with cereal, with cool whip , And with vanilla ice cream.

Love that song. I’ve been singing it around the house for a couple days. thanks

cool!!! pink floyd. I would have never guessed. that was antique.

Really,???.. I’m that guy.:o

Some of my best friends are big Allman-Bro Fans. Maybe one day I’ll pay more attention to them.

Or are you dirty minded?

That’s too cute Brah, You were a little kids when you saw this. You still had a active imagination. I meant it was a movie for kids. Wish I was a kid when I saw it.

I eat mine with a knife and fork.

Okay, not really. It’s hard to find good peaches. I’ve been disappointed so many times I stopped buying them and sort of forgot about them. I do, however, eat a pint or two of blueberries every day. I’ll buy some peaches on Friday at Terhune Orchards after I stop at Birchwood Dairy Farm and Cherry Grove Farm on my way to Emery’s U-pick organic blueberry farm. I had originally planned to just go blueberry picking, but now I’m going to make it a big blow-out farm day. Inspired by peaches.

You must look like you’ve been courting Smurfette with all that blue dye on you.

In the winter, do you buy BIG bags of frozen blueberries at COSTCO?

Ha what’s with these threads. First how to peel a banana, now ho to eat a peach. Just peel a banana and eat it. Just eat a peach done nothing more to be said.

But I guess I would not be doing anything else if this thread as not here so it fills in a bit of pointless time in my 24 hours of this day.

Yes. Pointless. Like this:

No, but it does affect my poop, which I always check. It turns it alarmingly dark which can mean blood in the stool, but I verified it’s the blueberries by skipping a day.

On another note, I did go to most of those farms on Friday. I got peaches at the orchard. Had my first peach in years. They were excellent peaches according to everyone else who ate them, but I didn’t love it. I guess I’m a berry kind of guy (blueberries and strawberries).

Absolutely not. I am at this very moment freezing blueberries for off-season consumption. Mostly in muffins and pancakes because when you thaw the blueberries, they get a bit mushy. I spent about two and a half hours picking 15 pounds of blueberries.

To freeze blueberries: put them in a single layer on something like a cookie sheet that has sides and freeze them. Pick through them first and get rid of the soft ones (because there’s no way to tell after you thaw them – they will all be soft). Also, don’t wash them first. Wash them after you thaw them. Oh, and after they are frozen solid, you can put them in ziplock bags.

P.S. - Billy, I don’t eat a pint of blueberries every day all year long, if that’s what you are implying. I’ve just been doing that for the last few weeks. I’m antioxidant-loading (actually, I’m just addicted to them at the moment).
