Hooked hubs?

OK so which manufacturer wants to give making hooked unicycle hubs for berd spokes a go?

I’d love to have a unicycle with them, but the worst part seems to be installation into regular hubs.

Shoud be possible to make a adapter like the brake fast adapter. Screwed to the hubs spokeholes.

Funny you should post about this - I’ve been in contact with Berd as I hope to get a dog legged flange adapter made for the current Schlumpfs to take a 36h hub and make it ready for Berd spokes at 32h.

Happily Berd were quite helpful in terms of information and gave some key pointers - but it still needs further work.

I’m most likely going to get the project support on / made via Triton / Tritão as I don’t personally have the CAD skills to make such an adapter design but “know what I want”

It would be so cool to have Hooked options for unicycles or adapters for Schlumpfs. Hey one day a Schlumpf hub she’ll could come with the hooks as an option.

This is something I can get done aswell. I have thought about this, and the day I will have a hub available, this will be an option!

I thought about sth. similar in the past to get a straight pull hub (to eventually be able to use pi rope spokes). Could it be possible to fit a different hub body on a unicycle axle? Bu fo this, whe would need to get separate
unicycle axles an bike hub bodys of a matching (slightly smaller) diameter. The the hub body could be made to the perfect fit and pressfitted onto the axle.

another thought are the q-axle full cnc hubs or Marcos one piece M41 hubs. I bet. if it is possible get an unfinished hub (only crank interface machined) it’s possible to machine any flange shape you want out of it.

Maybe you could even ask Marco if he’s willing to produce some hubs like this.

I would love a brakefast adaptor or a schlupf hub with the hooked option (in upcoming years, when I will have money to make myself a race machine G36, time to ride it and train and when there will finally be a good 36 tire)
