Harvey Mudd

I am looking at colleges right. Mostly very good technical schools and Harvey Mudd is on my list. They actually mention in a booklet how a good number of the students there ride unicycles. I am wondering if anyone here goes there.

BUMP!!!

I’m not from Mudd myself, but I did hear this from several people and I was wondering the same. I was trying to get my one of my friends to go there for this reason. He’s went to USC instead :frowning:

I went there back in the Stone Age (early 1980s). We used calculators
with LED displays and card readers then. I learned unicycling, rock
climbing, abstract algebra, modern physics, and Cal Tech envy. Among
other things. Just picked up uni riding again a few months ago.

Great school. Very small. The profs treat undergrads like real
people. Expect to work hard. Plan to play hard. Be sure to socialize
at the other colleges, too.

You can email me at cline at frii (dot com) if you like. I’m away
from home for a bit, though, and may not reply immediately.

Cheers,

Ken

I went there in 1986; I didn’t learn to uni while I was there, but picked
it up afterwards.

The uni club back then was large and active, and you’d see multiple unis
every day on campus. The highlight of the year was the uni run to
Foster’s Donuts in Glendora; some 10 miles or so, all on Schwinn 24"
unis.

A good school, but it’s out there in the Android Sisters - you know -
Pomona, Covina and Laverne. You have to be able to handle living in a pretty hard-core polluted environment. I went to school in San Luis Obispo, so I’ve been spoiled.
