Got MUni?

From today (11/14/09).

Watch after the credits for a fun little bit…I was able to get a couple of mtbers to play along, lol!

Hey man, believe me on this, I GOT MUNI!!!

Keep on pwning them mountain bikers! {T_T} Two-wheel’d freaks…

How do you capture the peoples comments? Like the biker.
Do you just keep the camera rolling and manage to capture them?
Or do you get them to do it on camera?
Either way, its a neat part of your videos.

 Like your videos and riding as always!! Great work! I hate clowns…;):stuck_out_tongue:

I made a cablecam and tried it yesterday and it works fine… You can see it in trailer that is coming in 10min… I’ll post it here on unicyclist.com :sunglasses:

Haha, most I’ve met are really cool–some even want to try riding it–and some succeed! (But are are still those who just don’t get the whole “one-wheel” thing, lol.)

Thanks. Well, sometimes when I see people coming I might flip the cam on, in hopes of getting something good. Other times a hiker/bike might make a great comment, and so if I didn’t have my cam on, I might ask them to repeat it on film. In this video, some of the comments were repeated, or I just asked them what they thought of MUni. The skit at the end was fun and those two guys had to memorize the lines I gave them. It took about 7 takes to get it, lol! :stuck_out_tongue:

Cool, I’m glad that more people are actually making their own versions and trying it out. It’s really fun!

Got Muni?

Got Muni

                     No Clowns :(

Tight video Terry. Those trails looked super fun!

Whoa, Family Guy ripped off Woody Allen. I guess they figured citing their sources would ruin the reference.

Anyway, great trails, and great riding. Amazing, amazing, amazing. Amazing.

Thanks. Yeah that’s an awesome trail. Lot more steep and tech than it may look on video.

Thanks. Yeah it was in a recent episode called “I dream of Jesus” the Woody Allen scene parody starts about 3:40. It’s been parodied many times, and it’s a classic! :stuck_out_tongue:

i knew that was from family guy! i love it!

Oh… I really am out of touch.

haha, and of course, the original source: (the whole scene is great, but if you want to see just the part I parodied, scroll to about 2:00)

btw, I’ve loved this film ever since it came out in '77, and I knew this scene so well, that when we did the skit, I could recall the dialog by heart, but of course I changed it to fit the “uni” scenario.

I don’t watch very many movies, but I think I might have to watch that one now. It’s already starting to turn on popular culture light bulbs in my head:

Yay, look at me connect the dots!

Terry … loved the angles! Looks hot and open there. Is it hot?
I am riding vicariously through you … gotta fix my brake and get out! Just busy, busy of late but soon … soon I will MUni!!! Really missing it.

As to clowns … I was Ringling clown … do you hate me???
Don’t hate because I am beautiful :p:D:)
Not all clown suck … just most. Bad party clowns. Yamma yammas.

Shug … Mr. Roid … clown bad-ass

Met my wife Meg as a clown … showgirls LOVE clowns… beat that civvies!!!

I got to leap over elephants everyday for three years … same as a MUni thrill!!

Always changing costumes … 12 numbers per show… and yes … I unicycled. Sorry. Best shape of my like though as clown eat only popcorn, snowcones and hot dogs.

Shug

Those are really cool pics Sean! Haha, I don’t hate you or clowns; I was just having fun with the stereotype, although MUni is becoming more and more recognized as a serious sport. I remember a funny Seinfeld episode where a party clown named “Eric” didn’t even know who Bozo was, lol. Oh, and I believe it was Lon Chaney (Sr.) who once said, “There’s nothing scarier, than a clown after midnight!” :astonished:

PS: Yes, that trail is crazy hot in the summer and through October it can exceed trip digits, but this time of year is nice and cool.

Yeah I know … we clowns take a beatin’ in life due to all the sucky-ass clowns out there!
I will tell you though … we took it seriously! 13 to 14 shows a week. Clown and Party … our motto!!!
Now I don’t wear make-up 'cause I just look like an old clown… :astonished:
Shug says Ride Hard…

One of my favorite things was going to the circus as a kid, and carnivals! I went to a birthday party at a friend’s house way back when I was like 10, and there was a clown that made cool animals and stuff with balloons and also juggled…but no unicycle! :frowning: I still think kids and the young at heart will always love clowns in general. It’s as American as Apple Pie.

Re the clown thing
Of course we all get the basic clown thing.
The movie reference was cool, but obtuse. I’ve seen the movie and it didnt click. Now that it does, I’m disappointed you should have to explain.
Your camera man was completely asleep at the wheel; Your director of photography, if not your key grip, should have noticed that the camera was on a tripod.
Your actors were contrite, the music score clearly a cover tune for American go go dancing.
The whole thing is a complete farce, and indignant of pulling teeth;
Your movie is limacious slubberdegullion ditritous at best. 2 and 3/4 stars out of 10.
No offense intended

Wtf? Haha! :stuck_out_tongue: I like your first comment better.

Sorry. I was going for an overbearing film critic effect, like the guy thats spitting on Woody Allen’s neck.

Also I read that mushrooms have been reclassified as animals, since they dont use photosynthesis, and eat detritus instead. So until they discover water on the moon or something, I thought I’d incorporate detritus into everyday conversation and movie reviews.

btw your riding in this one is better than average.
