Gloves/wristguards

Hi,

I’ve just started muni riding and I’d like to get some gloves with inbuilt
wristguards.

I’ve seen these advertised on some US websites which sell skating accessories,
but I’ve not seen any in the UK. Does anyone know of any stockists/suppliers in
the UK, or have any advice about the best ones to get?

Thanks

Mick

Re: Gloves/wristguards

Hi,

I wear Triple 8 brand, Hired Hands model wrist guard fingerless gloves. They
have incredible support, and I’m quite sure that I would have broken both wrists
by know without them. I bought them in a rollerblading shop.

cheers,

Kris.

I found my wrist guards with fingerless glove stlye hand part in a skate shop.
They protect the ball and palm of the hand but not the fingers or thumb. I
haven’t seen gloves with wrist guards in the UK yet, be interested if someone
finds them tho. I ride wearing Musto sailing gloves, the fingers are long but
cut off and the palm is double thick leather with no extra padding, they have
protected me very well in lots of face and hand plant situations. I am looking
for gloves with more protection for the ball of the hand but so far all I have
seen apart from sailing gloves have soft leather there which looks like itwould
rip at the first sniff of road gravel. Or of course i could wear my wrist guards
which are hot and sweaty and uncomfortable.

Re: Gloves/wristguards

I also use the Triple-8 Hired Hands. I found them by going to Geoffrey
Farraghan’s site…

and following his rollerblading links to a mail order company in NYC. You may
find links to non-US companies there.
