I’ve been out of the game for a couple of years. I only have a 29er to my disposal. Would learning to ride again on my 29er be counter-productive or not really matter? I’m sure it will take me a week or so to get my mojo back, but it will way longer to get back to being able to weave in and out of traffic downtown (not that I endorse this behavior). Any tips or is it pretty much happy riding?
nope. not counter productive.
happy riding.
If you could ride before and your goal is to use it for transportation than I think that 29 would be about perfect.
You might get rusty but you never totally loose the ability to ride.
I rode for a solid two years before quitting for personal reasons, and it was mainly on my 29er. I use it to ride around town, entertain some of the tourists and to do some light muni (worn dirt trails and such). Of course, the muni can wait since it doesn’t go well with a BA tire.
