Neil–thanks for the web site! I’ve already checked it out and my son is out

              Lean unicycle forward, not straight up or back, and go up, not
              back when climbing Make sure the cycle does not lean sideways
              before you go up and make the step from the tire to the second
              pedal a quick one.

Unicycling.org has a page @ http://www.unicycling.org/unicycling/mg.html I’m
afraid I’ve never tried freemounting a giraffe so can’t comment of whether the
page offers good advice or not but it sounds fairly straight forward (not easy -
just straight forward <g>)
