I used to be a bit embarrassed about going uni’ing and so would park in the quietest place in the car park. Today some f***er broke into my car and stole my handbag (with my pocket pc, camera. MP3 player and camera in, although not a lot of money). Devastating.
There are much worse things than a bit of performance embarassment.

Re: Former embarrassment
performance embarassment. still seems worse to me
Bummer.
I feel your violation
Never leave anything visible in the car.
I leave nothing in my Jeep.
Mainly because I have a softtop, and don’t want some punk cutting the top to enter my car.
(I leave car unlocked)
I did install ‘radar’ though…
Keeps the punks entering it at nite and ‘tossing’ my car.
Radar is kewl.
It will ‘chirp’ when the ‘perimiter’ is disturbed, and will sound alarm if someone reaches into the car.
This is an exceptional tool for ‘open air’ cars.
Only problem is, that if an animal runs under the car, or garbage blows under, it sets off.
And heavy rain, sets off the perimeter breach.
Sorry to hear about that.
The other night we were hosting some kids from the Danish Unicycle club. While they were all here someone broke out a car window and stole the laptop where all our club records were kept.
It was the day after Martha Stewart got out of prison, so you can put two and two together for yourself.
Anyway, maybe that whole cutting off a thief’s hand that some Arab countries employ isn’t such a bad idea.
I just got a car of my own and I really dont know how to lock the damn thing. So I just have every thing hidden. The most they’d get is a poopy radio/cd player. I’m going to start locking the glove box soon so if some one want to steal it they cant show anything of mine. Oh haha no one would steal my car actually.
One time me and my boyfriend went into best buy real quick so he could buy a cd, and we were in there for probably 15min at the most, and when we came back, his cd player was gone. So…anything can happen. Actually he was like YES SOMEONE FINALLY STOLE IT, becasue it was being held up b a peice of wood, and the wires were falling out, and it didnt always eject the cd, so now he has this super awesome one.
