For the love of unicycling

I’ve just fallen in love with unicycling for the second time this month.

After a blissful four weeks of riding my coker (especially the last week where I have been able to ride 10+ mile rides every day) the weather has changed. It’s wet and blustery.

Last week as part of my stress management prior an exam I engaged in internet shopping and bought a gel seat for my 20" freestyle/hockey unicycle cos I like the one on my semi coker so much.

I decided to put it on last night and while I was at it put on the blue plastic pedals that I had bought for it at BUC (cheap plastic pedals but I reckoned they would be better for riding with sandals on than my other pedals). It was like having a new toy. Great fun. I spent all day today (on and off) idling and riding round in ever decreasing circles. I decided that I don’t have to be able to be perfect at two foot idling before I learn to idle with one foot. So that’s what I’ve been doing. And I reckon I’ve been making progress (slowly).

It’s been great fun. A totally different kind of unicycling than my semi cokering.

10 miles a day for a week makes you a star.

Riding in sandals? Be careful of those toes if you UPD. :astonished:

Only whilst riding gently (and usually in the gym) on the 20".
