Is this normal for a cheap £100 uni from amazon, been riding it since august 2024
The fact that a cheap amazon uni lasted that long is beyond me.
Not unusual.
How tight were your bearing clamps? You have to be careful to not over tighten them, you want them just tight enough to hold the bearing without play, otherwise the bearing will deform and wear quickly.
If it’s one of those many, many no-brand unis that can be found on Amazon, Temu, etc., wouldn’t surprise me if anything didn’t last long. I bought one out of curiosity and I plan on riding it on some tough terrain until it breaks

Lets see me keep using it for 5 years!
The amazon £100 uni i mean!
Hey Finnspinn, most likely way too tight! I have access too lots of old bearings which just require degreasing, regreasing, so just costs me a little time sitting getting a tan whilst i fit em!
