@Raddreher @Ulkicycling @Wheelou Waited in all day and this was waiting when I got home from work

Looking forward to your impressions of your first PAEU (power assisted exohuman uni) ride. There must be a better acronym for that, though!

@Wheelou Roboune

If the stats are to be believed. It should give me 40% more leg power, off set 30kgs of body weight. @ 72kgs thats a wopping 41% of my total weight.
17.5 miles range and 2 batteries so in theory 35 miles total range with both.
So, we will see.
Set up tomorrow, it needs to be adjusted to fit, plus I need to set up the adaptive mode on the app, so the AI learns how I move and apply pressure on the une, then it should learn and have a uni riding mode, it has a cycling mode also, so will see which works out best.

@Raddreher @Wheelou @Ulkicycling It’s here, setup and charging,What do we call this, maybe:

EXOU Exoskeleton Unicycling or
HMEU Hypershell Mountain Exo Unicycling. Ideas ?

I will drop in a few bits each day. Here is the unit unboxed, really easy to adjust to body size, took 5 mins.
The exo is set up based on an average 90kgs man, 70kgs woman, so for me I should get even better results, power to weight ratio wise, I am 72kgs including the exo, so I have an 18kgs advantage on the 40% power and 30kgs weight offset all the stats are based on.

Here it is unboxed n charging.

So far all looks really good :+1:

so if I want to wear this riding UW, I shouldn’t ride clipless, but attach my feet to the wheel, so I won’t hop off. I could go wickedly fast. I think @Ulkicycling would be a good test subject initially and then I will learn from him.

How about Exoskeleton Unicycle Chief (EUC). Oh, wait…

Will be interesting to follow your write-ups, looking forward to read them :+1:.

Electric Assist Uni? EA Uni
Or reclaiming the unicycle name and just calling it EUC

@Raddreher @Ulkicycling @Setonix @Wheelou

Just got full power and powered it up for the first time, WOW. You can feel the power surge as it boots up, it activates as soon as you start to move, 0.2 of a millisecond reaction time.
Started in ECO mode pwr lvl 1, yep it works.
Level 2 Ok thats enough, huge boost.
Level 3 and 4 insane, the pwr and torque increase is wild.
HYPER mode, level 1 to 4 totally nuts, its sick, bassass. I think ECO level 1 will be enough :rofl::rofl:

Does it work, ooh yes, it’s insane.
Comfy, easy to wear, my leg protectors fit still and dont catch. Difficult to describe, walking on the moon, you can feel the power of it.

An insane bit of kit, E-legs  haha. The app, all set up with all the modes and has all the usual features of a fitness/cycling app.
If you are fit aleady, your gonna be superman in this thing. So the video hype is accurate, its mad.

I will be sticking to ECO pwr level 1

nice colour Hatchet.
You know it is supposed to be worn underneath your clothes, especially if you go all superman outfit.

Exo-Muni

Sizing: This fitted me straight out the box, and I am quite small and slim for a european man @ 1.7m, it will adjust on the hip width and the thigh length. But really you need to check the sizing and BM charts on the hypershell website first. Looks like its made more for an average size asian man, so its not going to fit everybody. If your not a typical size and shape, likley it wont fit.

I wonder what would be the effect of wearing this kind of stuff for long periods of time, isn’t there a risk of loosing muscle because you let the assistance do most of the work ? (Even though it is obviously better to use it rather than seat in your sofa all day long).

Wow! That’s so cool!!

Exactly that was my experience of riding ebike many years ago. It tricks your weaker self to ride a bike and stops assisting above 25km/h anyways. As stated the exoskeleton is used on level 1- trick done, perfect :+1:.

@Aurelien answer, yes it could have a negative effect. After wearing it for an hour I turned it off, and boy did I notice it.

Based on the average male has about 0.1 hrs pwr and a top athelete about 0.35 adding 1 hrs pwr to your legs makes a monumental difference.

It also has a fittness mode, so you can set it to add resistance and make things harder for yourself.

If you let it assist for uphills you can compensate by letting it add resistance for downhills  .

When I saw the picture below I thought you should give it a paint job to match your Hatchet. Could even add a brake line or two, just for the looks :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

PS: Love your T-shirt! Ok, I have some issues with dogs (and they apparently with me), but I could fancy making something unicycle related along those lines.

@Wheelou not even a couple of small lap dogs like mine :rofl:. I thought I had colour coordinated already, grey hair grey beard, grey TShirt, grey exo. There is only so much grey and old man can take, I have enough already :rofl::rofl: Not sure about the brake lines, I might need a couple of IV drips after testing it on the une tomorrow, would that do ? I could always make the hatchet grey again!! On second thoughts noooo, I really dislike hatchet grey, so will stick with my uni bling.:vulcan_salute:

Your dogs are ok, you know.
As long as I only see them on a screen
I have no idea how the grey colour coordination could escape me . My apologies for this glitch.

IV drips, huh? In addition to the lines you could even add the bag on your back. I think that would make the exo thingy an even better conversation starter

Does it recharge that battery in the fittness mode?

@Wheelou on a serious note I was thinking about a backpack, first If I go out, with my uni pals for the day, I usually take small tool kit, spare tube, pump, pac a mac and a drink.

Second and really my biggest concern about the exo unit, is that battery pack and a bad UPD, we have all seen a tesla/ebike battery go up like phosphorus after a small collision.
If the battery blows for any reason, your gonna have a serious problem strapped to your back, serious burns likley. Ok the battery sits inside the frame but still could get a bang on a rock, tree etc. So a back pack would add some cushioning/padding to that area and give the battery some protection from a rear UPD knock.
So just for saftey for the first few runs I will wear one.
