DVD rant

The special feature every DVD that includes deleted scenes is missing…watching th movie that includes the deleted scenes.

Granted the deleted scenes are deleted for a reason, but some movies that you own would be nice to watch like that.

Although, not Star Wars II, as long, boring, and drawn out as the love story was in this, most of the deleted scenes were of that love story! ugh.

yep. i think about that all the time too. however lots of the deleted scenes are unfinshed and less hi-fi.

i think the conspiracy here is that when-ever the new format comes out and we have to toss our DVD’s for the new “better” thing. then they will come out with the totaly uncut versions. having a “insert deleted scenes” feature.

there was a deleted scene in Phantom Menice, the water fall scenes that George ok’ed to finish just for the dvd. it sould have been inserted into the movie…

i dont know if this is true but i heard that Die Hard had some sort of deleted scene option? not sure though. i think it had two versions or somthing, cut and uncut.

(off to go watch the beauty, brawn and bulletproof bracelets featurette.)

I remember watching Die Hard on cable tv. They were showing the DVD version and it had several deleted scenes. If I remember correctly, one or two of them were in black and white because it was not complete or something like that.

I liked watching LOTR TTW in extended version, but it was nearly 4 hours long.

What I hate is watching the deleted scenes and then because you forgot to press a button on the options menu the stupid commentary comes on. That just pisses me off!
