I don’t know if anyone had a 29" for the race? It would have been OK but I know 24’s came in 1st, 2nd and 3rd. There were two big uphills that I think everyone walked at least some of them. The downhills were fun but not too technical. You could really fly down some of them. I’ve never ridden a 29 but it’d be fun to go back to that trail on one and see if I do better or not…I’m guessing a 29 might be a bit faster?!
Phil-Doing great. At Unicon and had a great day doing MUni all day. Think I did pretty good in the downhill North Shore Technical run…will find out tomorrow. And my girlfriends doing just fine but I miss her and can’t wait to be back with her!!! Skype is awesome but nothing like being there in person…
It will be in Minneapolis-St. Paul in Summer 2009. We had a planning meeting this week. We will post exact dates once we get final confirmation on the venues.
Everyone used 24 (or 26), and many parts were still too steep to ride up (except for Beau). Maybe a geared 24 would have been nice for the praire at the end but it was getting a little dark so that would have been a little too scary.
On the last page, one of the last pictures. Guy is somewhat skinny looking, bright orange helmet, seat in gaping down.
You called him Jason. Thats Joe.
The confusion was, he though when you fell off the course, time stopped for you, until you remounted back on the course. Thats what we were told until about 5mins before the actual event went on.
Max, you better of built that course like you said! You told us to come down, and I dont want to be disapointed. lol
