now lets assume that you could build your “dream” uni for street purposes. what exactly would you order for your uni?
Thats easy, go to unicycle.com, and pick out all of the stuff that cost the most $$$ then ship it to me:D

Re: dream uni…
Hmmm let’s see,
For speed… definately a Coker
For sidewalk (pavement in the UK) or otherwise high-traffic areas where
manueverability is important…
The SemXL 700c lite unicycle under the touring section of unicycle.com
I would upgrade the tire to one a little bit wider for comfort, and get
the wide Sem frame (so I could possible use a 29" mtb tire. The narrow
Sem frame only accepts up to 1.85" tires)
Oh, and 125mm Bicycle Euro cranks!

UniDak, that last comment was abusive to the funny bone.
i’d get something with a really small (6 inch at most) wheel, with some kind of gears, so the speed is al least 20 inch. Peadls or cranks that can come off easily, but stay on when riding would be good too. Could store it in my locker!
Actually, I have seen something like that (and not like the mini giraffe) It was just like a regular uni, everything was where it was supposed to be like seat, and cranks, but the wheel looked like an over sized rollerblade wheel. The wheel was red, and the uni was goldish. I saw this about 5 years ago for sale at a used stuff table at the Yale Juggling fest. That was b-4 i started to ride, If i ever see it again, I would buy it in a heartbeat. It was by FAR the coolest uni I remember EVER seeing, and that includes some pretty wacky unis.

Re: dream uni…
Schwinn frame style in that it has a bolt that goes through the seat post
(no seat twisting whatsoever), but a miyata/torker style squared fork so I
have a place to put my foot. Add an airseat, indestructible, wear resistant
20" wheel with a thick, soft tire and I’m happy.
dream uni
i’d have a monty wheel with that extra knobby tire with a really wide semcycle frame. ha ha ha aha ahahaaa!!!
Sorry. you scared me! I thought i was the only 1 here.
Got to my site too. www.unisteve.unicyclist.com[URL=http://www.unisteve.unicyclist.com/]

I saw somebody last year with a very small wheel - he’d made a unicycle with
a roller-blade wheel. Of course, there’s no good way to gear up a wheel that
small, so he just moved along slowly while pedaling like mad.
