Coker 36" "The BIG ONE" for sale

I have for sale a Coker Tire 36” The Big One Unicycle still new in the box. I also have 2 new spare wheels to go with it.

$500 OBO.

Please message if interested.

I might be interested, depending upon the the type of wheel on your Coker and the two spares. Can you please let me know:

  1. How many spokes do the wheels have?
  2. Are the rims steel or aluminum?
(If you’re not sure, a simple magnet test will give you the answer)

Thanks!

Hey there. Ill check tonight and let you know.

Sounds good. Thanks!

I counted tbis morning. Seems like it has 47 spokes. Also, a magnet didnt stick so they must be aluminum.

Must be a special edition, then  SCNR

How many should it have?

You probably just miscounted by one spoke. Coker made both a 48 spoke version and a 36 spoke version.

I am one of a very limited number of unicyclists who prefers the heavier steel rim, so unfortunately for both of us, the Coker and extra wheels you have aren’t of interest to me. However, the good news is that most 36er riders prefer the aluminum rim version and with 48 spokes, the wheels you have are very strong. And since your Coker and extra wheels are brand new, you should be able to find a buyer. You may also want to try posting what you have for sale on some unicycle-related forums on Facebook. Good luck!

Spokes usually come in groups of 4, in a classic wheel. Such a group consists of 2 crossed spokes from the left side, and 2 crossed ones from the right side. Usual spoke counts are 32, 36 (used to be the standard for b!ke wheels in the olden days) and 48 for trials unis. 48 Also make sense for bigger wheels such as 36", although 36 spokes have proven to be sufficient for road use; some people even use their 36 spoke 36ers for muni.

Thanks for the feedback.

My pleasure. :+1:

Hello, I am not a unicycle rider, but do have a doctor runabout with 40 spoke wheels & pneumatic tires. So, can you inform me where you bought the wheels & tires please. I would like to buy un-drilled wheels if possible. Thanks, Larry Stahl

I got them directly through Coker.

OK, thank you
