Chinese pole and unicycling

Hi all,
Apart from riding long distances, I also do circus. This year I do a show with chinese pole and unicycle.
Has anybody tried mixing these two things and found interesting things to do (especially nice transitions from one to another).
I have tried a flag with the unicycle still between my legs and a jump mount from the pole. I also plan on attempting a jump mount from an upside down position, but that still seems a little light for what I want to do.

dannnnng, all respect to you - chinese pole looks both incredible and HARD.

While I’ve played around with trapeze and silks in my younger, slimmer days I’ve never thought of integrating a unicycle.

Well, I have done some chinese pole in the past, but lacked a lot of strength. Now that I’ve gotten better, I wanted to get back on it, but had to choose between unicycling and chinese pole. So I choose the third option.

It is still really hard, but I find the transitions I am able to do really nice and want to push them further. Currently, going from the uni to the pole is quite easy (I can just ride to the pole and get on it while dropping the uni), but going from the pole to the uni is way harder (it is either really sketchy for my level, or really long and not visually nice, and circus is all about visual stuff).

After some researchs on the internet, I have found basically nothing, that’s why I ask people around here. And even if people have just ideas that they never tried, it might help me a lot.

Anna Abrams went to my unicycling club. Now she is a professional. Look at her skills, vertical rope and unicycling, but I didn’t see it combined:

How do you keep hold of the unicycle while on the pole? I think it would be awesome to see something that looked like pedalling up or around the pole in midair especially after doing one or the other for the first part of the act but that might not be possible or safe.

How do you keep the uni stood up for remounts?

There will be other persons on the scene, so they can give it back yo me, or take it away.
For example, when doing the human flag, I will very likely raise with the uni between my legs, and somebody will take it from me.

so something like riding up to the pole and holding it with your hands, you legs stretched horizontally, which already is very heavy, but then with the uni between your legs as well for a few moments. And then some spinning around the pole, and doing pirouettes next to the pole where after you get back to it, all in rapid succession.

Or riding up to the pole, keeping the uni tight between your legs and then swinging upside down with the uni ending up up-side down between stretched legs and moving forward and on the way down land on the uni and ride away again.
