Casio's high speed camera

Hey guys, I know quite a few of you have been eying this camera, well its on sale at adorama (http://www.adorama.com/ICSEXFH20.html) for almost half the price its been going for. The casio ex-fh20 is a 9 megapixel still camera which can shoot HD video. If you lower the video resolution a bit you can shoot at a super high framerate meanting you can get incredibly slow motion.

640 x 480 (30 fps)
1280 x 720 (30 fps)
480 x 360 (210 fps, 30-210 fps),
224 x 168 (420 fps),
or 224 x 56 (1000 fps)

These super high frame rates mean you can do super slow motion, here an example: http://vimeo.com/2330315

Unfortunately the resolution goes down pretty low when doing the super slow motion but this is definitely the cheapest way for someone to get into high speed photography/videography.

You want “high speed”? How about SIX MILLION frames per second!!?? :astonished: :astonished: :astonished: Instead of the millions of detectors in a digital camera, this uses just one! Obviously not available (yet) for consumer use, but still pretty amazing technology!

Cool. I would be really mad if he never popped it…
