Calling all unicyclists for Atlanta 4th of July Parade!

Dear fellow unicyclists in the USA:

WSB-TV Atlanta is again sponsoring the “Salute 2 America” parade on the
4th of July. The organizers have asked us to lead the televised parade.
We will be joined by riders from many states, including those from the
Auburn Unicycle Club in Alabama. Seth Granberry, past president of the
Unicycling Society of America and president of the Auburn Club, will be
there jumping rope on his 6-foot giraffe. Seth is a new grandpa!

If you’re able to ride a unicycle for 1-1/2 miles, you’re invited to
join us. The parade moves along quickly in some parts, so you’ll need
to be proficient at freemounting (mounting your unicycle without
assistance).

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Unicycle with tire inflated to appropriate psi (specs are on

the tire); you can decorate your unicycle, but make sure it’s safe to
ride!

  • Drinking water, either in a backpack or in a bottle cage

mounted to your unicycle

  • Navy blue shorts and red/white striped shirt

  • Helmet

  • Wrist guards (recommended for all ages)

If you can join us, please RSVP by email to:
