Its been a minute but we’re heading back North for Glentress this summer.
2.5 days of muni riding between Glentress and Innerleithen trails camping at Glentress forest lodges. There is a huge mix of trails here and lots of fun to be had.
ITINERARY -
Friday
- 15:00 Set up camp
- 16:00ish Early evening spin on the blue trails
- Dinner things
Saturday
- 10:00 Meet up with anyone coming Saturday morning at the Glentress Gateway Carpark/Cafe
- 10:30 Ride out onto the red trail 18km with a mix of optional black features for those that want them.
Bring a packed lunch to eat on the trail and plenty of water - Depending on time we may go back out onto the shorter trails or split up for campsite and extra riders separately
- Back to the campsite for showers, dinner and japes
Sunday
- Pack up the campsite
- 10:30 Head out for hybrid day of Blue/Red/Black trails depending on what we liked from the previous days. Expect about 20km but easily cut shorter if needed
- Options to go to Innerleithen for completely new trails if we feel we’ve completed Glentress
- 16:00 Finish riding and head off
CAMPSITE -
Glentress Forest Lodges, riding distance to Friday and Saturday’s trails! It has a mix of camping and pods etc available. There are decent discounts if you team up and share tents etc.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
*Mountain unicycles- 24"or larger, suitable for riding on trails
*Helmet/pads
*Backpack with water, tools, rain jacket etc
*Camping gear (if you are planning to camp with us)
*Food (bring something to contribute to communal dinners or bring your own meals, however you wish)
*Packed lunch and snacks for the trail
*Good vibes- we welcome everyone to come ride with us regardless of gender, sexuality, race, religion or age. If you have hate: leave it at home.
